Has anyone used a Battery Pack for a portable

Like the ones that you use to charge cell phones with a 5v regulator built in, has anyone used them in portables?

I'm looking into the xtpower 10000mah external battery pack from amazon that has 2x 5V 2A and 1x 9v or 12v 1a or 2a. I was thinking about pulling the 5v lines in parallel to feed the 1.9v lines on a GameCube and then the 9v to do audio and the 3.3v regulator and 5v regulator.


This way it has built in battery level, charge and step down regulators.

What do you guys think?

I'm going to try this myself on a SNES mod. I'll let you know what the results are.

To clarify, I'm using a battery pack which already has separate voltage channels, and not an auto-selecting one.

I had made a battery pack when I was working on my gamecube portable, I was basically using one of these (https://www.okwenclosures.com/en/Plasti ... o-Case.htm) with a clip attachment so it just snapped into place on the waistband area of my pants and loaded it up with batteries and a protection circuit. works fine if you do it right.
