DMG is what it says on the back (product code or something). It stands for "Dot Matrix Game" but is usually interpreted as "Da Massive Gameboy". It is usually called the GBO or simply Game Boy, though DMG is considered a more 1337 term.

In any case, yes a DMG has survived Iraq or Afghanistan or something, it's in a museum somewhere. But apparently it didn't survive Jory's microwave.

Until I went to benheck, I've never once heard it be called the "GBO".

Oh, it didn't survive the microwave because microwaves send power through things pretty much, so it effectively zapped the whole thing in less than a second.
