I accidentally pulled off the two caps needed for 5-12v audio and I can't get them back on normally. Can I solder wires to the contacts and re attach them like that?
I also went to turn my reg on and when I did one of the caps let out some smoke and i didn't turn on. Is my board fired? I was planiing oon getting a diff reg too. The official ones suck.
Yes, they had to protect against the wires jumping off and magically reattaching backwards.
It might be fried, you just have to check. Reverse polarity is very bad, so probably.
