GBASP does not stay on

When you turn it on, it only stays on for half a second. Then it shuts off. Even when it's plugged in. Halp.

If Hrduncan or Royal or one of you newfags replies, I swear to god. Shut the *Can'tSayThisOnTV* up until you know what you are talking about.

the best bet is it shorted out, or the fuse is blown. Other than that some of the traces could be *Can'tSayThisOnTV*ed up but i doubt that. open it up and get a look for it.

The ribbon cable is fine, and the battery is also fine. I know this because the screen WORKS when it is on for that split second, and I know it's not the battery because it still happens when it is plugged in.

And also because Nintendo didn't start making consoles that don't work if the screen is unplugged UNTIL the DS. THIS IS AN INTENTIONAL SECURITY MEASURE.

Also, ßeta, I'd say unplug everything, hit it with a can of compressed air, wait overnight, reassemble, and try again. Has the unit been modified in any way?

It is open. There are tons of things soldered to it. TONS. Tooooooooooooooons.
