Test case just to show you that it fits. My screen failed on me for no reason so I need to get another one. No battery inside as there is no space.

EDIT:

Here some pics of the actual case

I like it, what audio amp are you using?

Also, everything can be made smaller.

Everything.

I won't be surprised if it's the smallest for a long while though, I mean, there are at least 500 different ways to make an n64p smaller than the TSF, yet no one has and it's been over a year. It's all about whose willing to put out the full effort.

Also I have a ridiculous plan for the XGC, and I do mean ridiculous. We'll see if it happens, but it might end up in a different...case.

 true true anything can be done. We'll see who takes on that road but in the mean time this will have to do ;)

Audio amp I'm using is this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/iPod-Nano-Touch ... 415de38eea

But with ds lite speakers. Also I have removed the pre amp on the cube and sound is loud as it is already. So need to use it. I power it of 3.3v and it draws only around 0.05 amps or so. They are also cheap and are very tiny. Perfect for our portobalizing needs.

Re: It's time to bring it to the next level!!! CubeStationFu

I might order one of those. What Ohms are the DS lite speakers?

That's just insane man. I'm looking right at it and I still find it hard to believe... I want a high resolution photo of that to hang on my wall.

Still that sucka's gotta get hellishly hot no? Also I'm curious to see the front and back closed together with all components installed. Not that I doubt you in any way mind you, just because I know what a crazy tight fit everything is firsthand.

Bang up job my good man! Good show!

Re: It's time to bring it to the next level!!! CubeStationFu

Thanks man! Means allot coming from the gamecube revolutionary guru

It is indeed a tight fit. As you can see the wires of the wiikey have been placed a certain way so that the components sticking out of the screen board could fit closer the the gc mobo but seeing my screen died I have to see if my new screen will fit otherwise I have to rewire some things.

What screen do you use? I'm still thinking of getting a quality screen instead of a cheap one. The image quality has to be as good as possible.

The tempratures are acceptable and won't go any higher than 55 degrees celcius (meassured at the back of the mobo). I have a fan sucking air in and blowing it through the heatsink and another fan sucking air out of the portable and blowing it out of the case. That way the heat get's out quicker. Also I have both fan's running at 5v.

Only thing I don't like about something this small is that you can't mount everything nicely. I had to epoxy allot of stuff on the board to keep it as thin as possible.

You fusion micro rev 2 is looking sick also. Can't wit to see it done. This project however is my own and doesn't have any priority so it could take awhile before it's done.

I already have plans for an even smaller one which uses 2 micro sd slots and a trimmed down wiikey. But yeah all these plans and non are done so I'll just shut up now and crawl into my cave......

EDIT: Ashen I actually see you are using the same screen as I was for you rev.2 I must tell you though that your other screen was better as it filled the whole screen. This screen doesn't fill the entire screen which is kind a bummer if you ask me. Unless yours is different. Try a couple of games and see what I mean.

Re: It's time to bring it to the next level!!! CubeStationFu

It's been a while since we've seen a finished zenloc project, yeah, but that just means you've been working hard. XD

Also, I like the principal of your fan setup. I think people should focus more on different and smaller ways of cooling, not just the GC but the whole portable.

Holy Frak! That's rather small to say the least. Really tempted to stick one of these into a gamegear one day.

Re: It's time to bring it to the next level!!! CubeStationFu

Is that a 360 motherboard I see lying around?

Re: It's time to bring it to the next level!!! CubeStationFu

pff what don't I have laying around. I got xbox360's jtagable, modded, originals, slims, ps3's, xbox's, megadrive's, ps2's you name it. I do repairs for people. I need replacements if I can't fix their console ;)

Re: It's time to bring it to the next level!!! CubeStationFu

I hear ya man, I've been epoxying EVERYTHING in these cases, there's simply no room for anything else.

That screen is a major bummer, at first I thought it was just the PAL GC that wasn't filling the screen but its the same with a NTSC signal also. Sad that the $20 screen is better than the $40 one. I've already ordered another screen though, I'm currently on a quest to find a good 4.3" screen that has a nice small driverboard anyway so meh.

Re: It's time to bring it to the next level!!! CubeStationFu

One month later:
Zen: I fit the GC into a PSP 3000 case!!!!
MR: WTF!
xD

Re: It's time to bring it to the next level!!! CubeStationFu

Zenloc! Can you post a diagram of where to solder L, R, and power once the iPod connector is removed!
