GameCube resetting...

I'm kind of confused as to why my GameCube has been resetting as much as it has. I have a switch installed in my portable that controls power to the amp and screen, and flipping that switch causes the GameCube to reset, but it also seems to reset when I've just been playing it for a while, holding it normally. I don't have the best airflow. Is that overheating?

simple enough to test that theory...
put a fan over it and play it for a bit of time...
see if it still resets..


do you have a worklog thread something you can put all your questions, build history, setup, and problems all together? just wondering because sometimes this makes it easier when looking for potential problems causing a fix on one issue but a problem on another ...
for example, did you cube reset a lot while you were troubleshooting your controller problems or after??
