can someone help me by telling or showing me how to bring down a 14.8v battery to a voltage that a psone screen can handle and manage

Wont a 7808 work? 8v wont fry the psone screen, right?

It shouldn't, but like, 3 years ago I tried one of those with the screen and it didn't work, and I've heard reports of interference.

Order a sample of one of those, it's free and easy, just sound legit, otherwise buy one. You'll also need and 8k resistor and a 100uf capacitor, preferable 35v. You can pick up those two components at radioshack(assuming it has a parts bin in the back like mine does). If not, someone who orders their components online could help you.

The pdf on that page shows you how to wire it, if you can't read it's diagrams I'll draw something simpler up.

ok do I really have to use the ptn78000w series cause the ptn78000h series seems to fit it like
3v to 15v and where would the capacitor and resistor fit in to the regulator?
