Gamecube Portable

Hi, I'm new to ModRetro, and new to building portables. I want to build a Gamecube Portable running Wiikey Fusion. I want to use the original Gamecube controller buttons. Does anyone have/recommend a case for me to use? Or will I need to make my own?

A lot of people use a ZN-45 since it feels nice and has lots of space. Smaller is better, but figure out what you're gonna do with the GC insides and how big the battery (if needed) will be before buying a case (because it really sucks to run out of space). You can also use whatever is laying around, like a broken label maker or some piece of junk toy at a yard sale.
Just make it fit, and make it all look good

Like Tim said, any piece of old tech has potential to be a gcp or any case for that matter. It's all on personal preference and size of the hand. For example I am using an old external cd burner. Ripped all the internals out of the drive. Cut my holes for screen and controls.

Sorry to be a complete noob, but what battery is ideal for a Gamecube Portable?

It could if you had a few but batteries from battery space will come with tabs you can solder to with out any kind of negative consequences.

Perhaps one day, some portabilizing genius will create some clip on connections for Gamecube portabilizing, then everyone would buy those parts to build their own portable. However it didn't happen yet, so you will still need to solder. I suggest buying a little DIY soldering kit to get used to the basics. THEN jump into the word of portables. Also if you really want to make a portable, get supervision or ask questions here before doing something major, cuz you can really screw stuff up.

Ok, I will look into a DIY kit. Yeah, that's why I'm asking a billion questions on ModRetro, because this is my first project, and I'm making sure I know as much as possible about it.
