Gamecube intro suddenly missing

Hello.
Today i wanted to take apart one of my two gamecubes to make it into a Portable system.
I tried to take it apart but i had to drill out 4 screws on the memory card slots.
I quickly stuck it back thogheter to test if its still working.
Everything worked fine exept the booting menu.
The animation was missing .

It really bugs me and it lowers the feeling alot.
Anyone know what happend?

Did you remove the disc drive? I would suggest that you test it after almost every step you do when making a portable, especially a GC.

If the disc drive is removed from the MoBo then the GC needs to be recalibrated, meaning the BIOS intro won't show until you've set the date etc.
