gamecube first time modding

hey guys, i a new to modding and for my first project i want to build a portable gamecube, i have no electronics experience, but have soldiering skills. i have a budget of 150 dollars US. i was wondering if anyone could give tips and links to to materials and help pages(preferably with pictures), anything that you can do to help would be appreciated

thanks

i am on a tight budget that is why, the gamecube seems to be the most cost effective solution, and i had a question about batteries, are there any guides, or lists of suitable ones, thanks guys

Actually a NES Ir SNES is because theyre cheaper and harder to fry (which saves a lot of $$$)

If your looking for batteries, www.batteryspace.com is the best. As for guides in how to wire them to your portable, like i said, read the megastickies.

i was wondering about the xeno GC 2 chip, i tried to google it,but couldn't find out how it worked or anything about it really, any help

I'm pretty sure that the GC will cost way more than $150.

NES's are easiest to do and are far more cost-effective.

you can get a gamecube for 30$ from gamestop, i have a gift card, so the cost of the gamecube is fine, the 150 is for everything else

how much would batteries and a screen cost? couldn't be more than a 150 could it, he gamecube is covered, so all i need is screen batteries and a case, i have tools and wires and everything(i build radios, so i have all electronic parts)

You do realize that the BEST modders on this site go through at least 3 Gamecubes making a portable, right?

If you have no electronics experience, you WILL fail, HARD, if you try to make one of these.

Listen to the people who posted and do something simpler.

A NOAC (NES-on-a-chip) costs maybe $20, and is by far the easiest system to portablize.
Do that first.

tl;dr: Don't be an idiot.

I'd recommend this one. Official distributor's site here.

thanks, i just didn't know what it was going to look like when i opened it up, the only problem is figuring out how to wire everything, the diagrams you posted make little sense, real pictures help me a lot more, but thanks for the help
