Gameboy DC/DC converter

So I was pondering not using a 7.4v system to power consoles and such but instead just using a 3.7 li-ion pack. So I went ahead and ripped the DC converter out of one of my many DMG's and wired it up. This is a very convenient converter as it has about a 90% efficiency. It worked very nicely powering my 3.5" LCD. Wiring is pretty simple to figure out but you can also get around 40 volts out of it if you do it wrong and I don't want anyone sending 40v through their hard work so here is a little diagram. Ill link to it as it is very big.

I'm assuming the third pin gives you 40V?

Yeah its kind of weird you wire GND as 40+ and the third pin as GND

I used one from a Game Boy Color in Stella. It's a lot smaller and still 90% efficiency.

Yeah I was gonna use a cgb one but I tossed my only dead cgb the other day.
