First Portable Gamecube

I have recently begun working on a portable gamecube. I would like the portable to run on batteries, but I would like a battery that is good for beginners. I ordered a battery off of eBay, and when it got to my house is was completely corroded. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Well, if you want batteries with enough capacity to run a Gamecube, they won't be extremely simple. That's not to say they're complicated to set up, but you can't simply hook them up directly. You'll want Lithium-based batteries, either Lithium-Ion or Lithium-Polymer. You'll need 7.4V (2 x 3.7V cells) or 11.1V (3 x 3.7V cells), a protection circuit, and a smart charger. Read all about it in the voltage megasticky.

Where can I find the voltage megasticky? I'm the other one who will be making it with Happy Goomba.
I would suggest looking in the forum called "Voltage". Something tells me that a thread titled "Voltage Mega-Sticky" might be in a place like that.

It can be 11.1V with the stock regulator; however, 14.8V will last longer because the batteries will cut off before they can no longer power the Gamecube.

My 3.5 inch screen came in the mail today. Is it possible to run that off of the gamecube power adapter without changing anything?

yup you can. you just have to find to power pin on your screen (unless of course you are not taking apart the screen in which case splice the power connections together) and solder to the under side of the GC power plug. On the GC power board the pin in the curved side of the plug is positive.
