First N64 Help

Ok so i recently started my first N64 portable and i have a few questions...
1. would a ZN-45 polycase be large enough for a psone screen and a none trimmed N64 board?
2.how many D batteries could i use to power the system for 3 hours and could i use D batteries?
3. How would i use a ps1 joystick in the place of the crappy n64 joystick?
4. A Name for it???

Well, if you wanna use D batteries...

You should be able to get away with 5 batteries wired in series for 7.5v 12,000mAh according to this site.

If you want that many D batteries on your portable, go for it.

By the way, this will last waaaaay longer than 3 hours. More like 8.

As for the other questions-

1-yes
3-Wire it to a 3rd party N64 controller.
