I trimmed it good.

so, can somebody tell me what pins on the n64 mobo go to what so I can wire the resistors & such straight to the board, further reducing the size of this puppy?

I wouldn't bend the pins like that if I were you. could very easily break the flimsy little solder joints.

Why trim the Expansion Pack board? Isn't it small enough?

I didn't know SS did that
the exp pak is HUGE for fitting an exp pak in a psone.

i bent it over and put the heatsink on top to save vertical space.

Yeah, that'll break the pins if you bend it too much, so I recommend you bend it to where you want it, then hot glue it in place.

would a 60 watt glue gun melt solder?

Hot glue will not melt solder, and if you touch the metal part of a hot glue gun, that won't melt it either. Maybe it you had a really hot one and let it sit there a while.
