Did I Fry My Gamecube?

I just wired up my wiikey fusion. I did it 5 times to BE SURE that I wired everything correctly. However, I just tried to test it out and my GameCube was not outputting video. It literally just gave me a black screen. It displayed the typical ERROR message after I tried turning it on without the wiikey, it was odd though, it displayed the bottom half of the GC start up cube in the upper right hand corner. Does anyone have any incite on what happened?

Yeah I Would If there was something to show... I tried to make it show the error again but it would. I can go back and check again.

Ok, I got it to weird out again. Here is what is displayed on the screen.

Okay your gamecube is fine. It is not fried.

So you are getting a wiikey error that is freezing the cube midboot. You know how the little cube moves around in a pattern before forming the big gamecube logo? It is just freezing at the beginning of that sequence, so that explains the cube in the top right corner.

You are getting that error because the wiikey is wired up wrong OR your activation sequence is messed up. Sometimes clicking the wiikey activation switch at the wrong time will mess things up. Is your wiikey updated to firmware 1.5 yet?

desolder the voltage wire to your wiikey and you should get a normal bootup sequence.

Cool thanks! I believe I know where the problem is. I'll fix it tomorrow. I have not updated to 1.5 yet as I was waiting for progress on zenloc and mega's autoboot solution.
