Custom Regulator voltage drop problems

Hey everyone!

I just wired up the custom regulator, and all the voltages checked out fine, 1.5v , 1.7v and 3.3v. However, when I wired up the Gamecube to the regulator, all the voltages dropped by a couple tenths ( like 1.7 to 1.3) and messed up the video.

Here is the album of pics on Imgur: http://imgur.com/a/vXeCV

This happened once already, but I thought it was the wire gauge, so i redid it using thicker wire, but that wasn't it. It is powered off of the GC Power adapter, so input power shouldn't be a problem.

Has anybody else had a similar problem?

Thanks for your input!

Happened to me, and after a few tryies, it ended up droping to 0... I thought I had shorted the reg and changed it.. Don't know if the same is happening to you.
From how the ti regs works, it sounds like your resistance varies when youturn it on.. Try rewiring, checking for shorts, don't forget to add 2 110uF caps, and use a new resistor if you can.

One question,
Is it possible to screw up when buliding custom regulators?
Eh what?
Of course it's possible to screw up. Mistakes can always happening.

Is it possible that the intrinsic resistance of your regulator isn't quite so negligible so when you hook it up in your circuit the output voltage drops more than you anticipated?
