Custom GC regulator won't work.

So I soldered directly to the capacitors on the back of the board shown here:

I wired my custom reg to 1.9v and to 3.3v as well as hooked up ground to the point shown. When I turn it on, I get nothing. But, when I plug the regulator board back in, it works fine.

I've also tried tapping 1.9v and 3.3v off of the original regulator, and it still won't turn on.

Any ideas?

Do you have 1.9v going to both the GPU and CPU? those lines need to be bridged for it to work. Just like in the pic.

Hrmmm.... What power supply are you using to power the custom reg? GC power supply? Pics of wiring and such would help.

15v 2A......... *realizes*

2AMP OH IS IT BECAUSE MY PSU IS ONLY 2A?

Then why would it power the original reg board?

No that's not why, when the voltage drops the amps will go way up and compensate.

Watt rating

15v x 2 amps = 30 watts
2v x 15 amps = 30 watts

Basically at 2v your power supply can give 15 amps
