Creating Wireless interfaces

Does anyone know, or have any ideas of how to make a wireless display/audio adapter ? I'm at a loss here. And no commercial ones are small and low power enough to work.
FYI : this is for a potential future WVI, and needs to support 480p Video, and stereo audio.

This project by techknott maybe of some help, he has also made an earlier version for XBOX360 if you want to look at that.
