Cost to build a portable GC?

I recently came across this site and have been looking at the stuff you guys have been making for a while now and would like to try my hand at making a portable GC. I already have the GC, the controllers and some other stuff for it like the soldering equipment etc. How much would i be looking too spend if i was to make my own portable GC using the wiikey method? and where would be the best place to buy parts from the UK?

Assuming that you don't have to spend extra money due to fried parts... I'd say maybe $200 give or take.

I've got all the parts besides a screen, and total it costed me $125. I've made 2 portables, and have experience though.

I constantly go to flea markets ,and I have fried one board ,but my portable is almost done now ,and i have only put about oh $60-$65 excluding the $10 I spent on my iron.

Cost to build a GC portable:

GameCube: $20
Controllers: $10
Small rumble motor for controller: $5-$10
Wiikey Fusion: $50
Case + case making Supply's: $30-$40
Screen: $30-$100
128mb Memcard: $10
SD Gecko Slot: $5
Audio Amp + Speakers: $10-$15
Custom regulator: Free-$30
Battery's: $50-$100
Various Switches, small components, etc: $5-$10
Fan(s): $5-$10

As you can see, the range of prices on components can vary a lot, but if you go with the higher end of the spectrum as far as parts/features go the cost can add up to $400+ in components quickly.

Im at around 60% through my portable I'd say, and I used 150-200$ so far.
Only advise I have, try to get as much things free, as possible. Molex,TI, and several other companies offer free samples, many of which aren't much different from the real deal. Also you could get resistors, caps, etc from old electronics, so look out for that.

Alright, i should have enough money for this then. thanks guys :). Only thing left i am unsure off is where to buy things from the UK?

THanks for the help guys! :)
one last question though, i just hooked up my GC to double check that it was actually still working, but it doesn't seem to be reading disks. since i'm going to be ditching the disk drive for a wiikey fusion instead, will this matter?
