Come Help me if you know Wiimotes (Plus)

In the past few days I've been working on making a "One-handed" Wiimote + nunchuk assembly.

The person I'm making this for can move his arm holding the nunchuk but not operate the stick and buttons on it. However he has full control of his other arm.

Note that I chose to use a Wiimote'Plus' in order to allow all games to be played.

Thus I added "C", "Z" and a 3DS nub on the wiimote.
I used an ethernet port because I needed the 8 connections :
-Ground
-Voltage
-Data
-Clock
-X axis
-Y axis
-C
-Z

Nunchuk :

But to my great despear, when connecting all of this toghether, it wouldn't work.
The wiimote plus wouldn't sense the nunchuk.

I checked every connection, and bridged the sense line. No detection.

I played around with the sense line, and using a switch I found that bridging the pins works. BUT ONLY ON OLD WIIMOTES.

I redid it all on my old ass wiimote (no plus) and it all worked ! the stick, c and Z alike.

So my problem is this : though the pinouts are the same, the WIIMOTE PLUS cannot sense while the Wiimote can.
I hope you guys can help, I hate having the person wait even though I promised him he could play more games on the wii than just a select few.

So your unifying the wiimote and the nunchuck?

And it didn't work on a wii mote plus?

EDIT: a little diagram would help
