Circle Pad ProXL

This isn't so much a guide as it is just some interesting info. This is all copied from the post in the BenHeck Forums (by Me):

Are you like me? I sincerely hope not, because if you are, then you have gone through 3 3DS's due to theft and unfixable software malfunction, which ended with me buying a new 3DSXL. However, if you are, then you may be wondering a simple question: "Why the @#$% is Nintendo not making a Circle Pad pro for their new line of portables?!?"Well, as I have found out today, there is no software change in the new 3DSXL regarding infrared connection to the circle pad pro. This means that with a few simple hardware tweaks (dremeling off the tall edges of the pro as well as moving the infrared sensor) your unit will function perfectly with the circle pad pro. pics are below, and yes, I know my repairs are nowhere near aesthetically pleasing (duct tape usually isn't XD), someone out there who wants to design a whole new case for a 5$ piece of plastic can by all means go ahead and do so.

hey im planning on modding my 3ds and circle pad pro so the triggers work as r and l with games that don't support the circle pad pro. I was going to hard wire a connecter to the triggers and hard wire a connecter to the actual buttons on the 3ds so i could simply plug them into eachother. do you have any pics of the insides of the circle pad pro? preferably of the triggers? I might also wire up a b x and y around the circle pad for easier use. thanks.

There is going to be a 3DSXL Circle Pad Pro, sometime anyway.

And as for Motherboard pictures, I couldn't find much but...

nice internal picture, definatly going to rip mine apart now. would the battery cause problems with wires coming from the triggers terminals to the L and R terminals on the 3ds? like i wouldn't want to harm my 3ds in anyway.

I'm no modding expert, but I doubt it, you could probably detach the right trigger from the Circle Pad anyway and just wire it to a custom connector if you plan on adding one to the 3DS
