b button issues

So i sanded the paint off an official controller and wired it up, played a game and it acted as if the b-button was help down, disconnected the wires from the solder points and it still does the same thing, no continuity between the two points any ideas?

Did you check continuity with a multimeter? If not, do so. If you have, you may have to cut the traces and wire up a new button right to the chip.

yea I thought I said in my post , there is no continuity between the two points

Sorry, sometimes people say thing like that but they haven't used a multimeter. Like I said, try wiring it straight to the chip.

okay , should I break the circuit with the rest of the traces for the b-button

Yeah I would try cutting the traces as close as possible to the chip.

done, at first it was the same issue as before but then I moved it a little , the start menu came up , I exited that and it stopped being held down,idk if it was me moving it or the start menu.
