Audio troubles

Finished up my cube. Issue is though that the lower range sounds are comming out static filled. Not loud notes but notes with a lot of bass to them are commin through scratchy. Its not the speakers, I've tried several and all have the same problem. If anyone elese has had a similar issue please let me know.

Current set up uses the 5V line audio fix, resistors in line to reduce audio, a switching headphone jack, 5V audio amp, and speakers. In that order. Input and possible solutions would be apreciated.

Does that mean you are supplying 5v to the pre amp on the GameCube motherboard? If so, that is probably too low and is known to cause distortion in the bass. Give it the highest voltage you have unless that surpasses 12v.

That did it! I was unaware that that putting 5V into the preamp wouldn't be sufficient. Instead i fed it with 12V and its all good to go. Thank you so much!
