Any reason why...

this soldering job would cause my board not to boot up? Got everything set; jumper pack, controller, and game. Red power indicator turns on and my tv detects a signal but I just get a black screen. Do I need to insulate the pins from each other more or something?

That end of it looks reasonable enough - pin 3 and 4 from the top left are a bit ugly, but they don't appear to be touching. Could be shorts at the cartridge slot end, or you could have your wires crossed, game in backwards type thing.

Well, tbh, when I had a multimeter, it detected a circuit between some of the pins. Would flux act as a good enough conductor to cause that? I didn't have any flux remover and tried to clean it off as best I could but I couldn't get all of it. :neutral2: But no, no crossed wires as this is the only modification I've done so far. Game is facing me and was confirmed working before, and jumper pack has the Nintendo copyright facing away from the game, so I don't think its a problem there.
