I wanted to play my american carts and have good compatibility so instead of getting another sj3, I bought a retro entertainment system. The screen is a 2.5' from aei comp (some guy on ebay sells them for like $30, good deal ) and the battery is a psp battery going through a stepup regulator to put out 5v. The cart slot on the r.e.s. (an most clones, really) sucks, so I bought a game genie. Instead of just using the slot and chucking the rest, I figured it would make sense to just integrate the whole thing into it, which to my knowledge hasn't been done before. I also wanted turbo buttons, but to keep the front of the case clean I just added two switches on the side to change A and B to turbo A and turbo B at will. For player 2, I used the original ext port and used a gameboy link cable to make an adapter to use with the nes controllers.
