Adding color cables to gameboy SP

Hello, my name is Pedro, i'm 18, and a life long gamer. I'm new to this forum and the whole idea of modding and electronics, wiring, and so on. I'm a quick learner so please have patience with me and my many future questions.

When the gameboy SP first came out I bought one of eBay. It is the AGS-001 model, cobalt color.

After about a year of having it, my younger sibling dropped it in a cup of orange juice and it's been broken ever since. The buttons, system, battery, and sound are fine, but the screen only shows a couple black lines across it when I turn it on. It's been in a drawer for a couple years now and I had an idea...

What if I remove the screen and replace it with a monitor via color cables? The rest of the system would serve as the console and controller.

Does anyone have any idea how I would do this? I understand it would probably require soldering wires and a bit of experience, but that's why I came to you guys (and gals ;) )

Thank you very much for your help, :)

Pedro G.
