A question about LED modding the screen

Is there a major difference in power consumption when comparing a LED-modded screen vs. a non-modded screen? I'm going to be doing a SNES portable and using the PS1 screen that is typically recommended and I'm considering using these batteries. What kind of a difference would I expect to see in average battery life/play time if I were to LED mod the screen?

As I recall, the power draw is cut a pretty good bit, but, of course, the real allure is the smaller daughterboard. And to that effect, theres really not much of a reason to use a psone screen anymore, unless you've already got one. There's much better, cheaper alternatives now, such as the host of ebay backup screens. Theres also several better alternatives that cost more, but make up for it by being quite glorious, such as the Dalian 5" ones.
