Just thought I'd post progress of another commission I've been currently working on. I've stuck with the Mini64 design as it works so well and IMO is a nice small compact N64 portable. However this time around this particular Mini64 has been given the title Mini64ze. Why ZE this time!? I shall let the pics do the talking:

The Triforce will illuminate when the portable is switched.

The top button is Z, the bottom 2 are R and L.
...
so what controller does he use for the Z button?
OEM N64.
It looks like you can kinda see some print on the shoulder button in one of the pictures, so I'm guessing that the curved part with the button hole is OEM, but he mixed it with another piece from another controller to get the top part of the shoulder button.

The Z button is actually the whole trigger from the back of a superpad/sharkpad but angled slightly upward.

What is it about the layout that scares you mymixed? the L and R buttons?

Just the location of the a/b buttons. It seems like you would have to shift your hand down to reach them.

a/b buttons are in a great position with the start button being at the very bottom. I'll post a video once its complete to show you how good this thing sits in your hands :D

Small update, portable is all but done. Its taken me a little longer than expected but thats purely because I've been busy with other things lately. I literally just need to apply a couple of finishing touches and it's ready for a youtube video.

I love the illuminated triforce idea on the back of the unit. Super, super cool, can't wait to see the video
