thanks machjas! and to be honest i'm not sure. i know a lot of times people do it so you can have multiple people play off of it via controllers, but in all honesty i'm never going to be using this with someone else probably. i dunno. i need to mull over this for a little longer

hello there good people of modretro, i'm back after quite some time. i fried yet another board doing my cart relocation, so i'm picking one of two roads because i'm frustrated with this: 1) don't relocate, just have the cartridge coming out the back and go on to everything else 2) buy an n64...

hahaha it's enough wires trust me. yeah i'm going to, a few of them kept falling off and i kept soldering them back down so maybe they're just not on there good enough. and @joey what do you mean by i might have a few shorts?

    Relocation of Game Slot

THAT. ah it's great, really a good idea for the cart relocation. i was using the same wire as you before and it wouldn't work without my connections breaking when i moved the cart. now i used this and i'm nearly done with my cart relocation and its fantastic! i'll update my worklog later once...

that looks like the same type of wire i was using! it is really hella stiff, definitely not fun to work with. but the soldering job itself looks pretty good. keep it up :D

welllll, i kind of sorta finished the cart relocation, but my wire was WAY too stiff, like seriously i could not move it without the connections breaking. SO, i'm back to square one, guess i'm gonna try it again but this time with some ide ribbon cable since that seems to be a common thing...

update for the day: got all the wires connected to the cart slot BUTTTTTTTT: 1.) still haven't connected it to the board 2.) 90% i don't have good connections between the cart slot and the wires and 3.) 85% i *Can'tSayThisOnTV*ed the cart slot up altogether. sigh, this is turning it out to be a lot harder...
