XBox 360 triggers to a Gamecube controller

I've heard it's been done before, and yes, I checked the stickies and they do not help.

My portable Wii case is vertical, and XBox 360 triggers would work wonderfully on it for Gamecube. How would I go about this? I don't even know where to start.

If I'm not mistaken, XBox 360 triggers are normal potentiometers, just like GC triggers. They have a high pin, a low pin, and a wiper pin. The high pin goes to 3.3v, low pin to GND, and the wiper to the data line. The wiper is the middle pin on the XBox triggers (not on GC).

Yeah acutely they are I could pull one off a board in the morning and let you know what it goes to.

Edit as in resistance.
