Xbox 360 power cord relocation?

I want to relocate the connector on my xbox 360 that the power brick plugs in to. What gauge wire will I need? Should I insulate the relocation wire?

basically I'm asking, what precautions do I need to take when dealing with something that uses fairly high amperage like this.

I imagine using the cable out of a broken 360 power supply should do the trick. Shouldn't be to hard to find a borked power brick. It would also give you the advantage of them being more clearly labeled, bundled, and designed by professionals to carry the amount of power you need.

Alternatively, find a way to see what the wires are like, and steal similar wires from an old computer power supply or something.

Precautions: unplug it and let it set for a while first, getting shocked sucks.

Just use wire that's rated for the 360's draw.

EG- wire max=25A, 360=16A, it will work. Get the thinnest stranded wire that is rated to work at that level.
