wii games on GC via Wikkey fusion ?

Just had a thought.
A Wii is just an GameCube with a bit better processes and motion controls built in right? Earlier Wii games were compatible with the GameCube controller and were pretty close to the GameCube resolution and such. So if we get a Wii Rom from when around the wii came out and has gc controller support could it run on gc via wikkey fusion? Has any one tested it?

while the wii is very similar to GC it is also very different. in short this will never work.

Not a chance. It's an older generation system which should have been enough of a warning. Also, the Wii menu/sytem is entirely different and is slightly more powerful.

Just thought maybe because when a new system comes out for first time devs have a hard time working with new systems so its very similar to its predecessors. But it would be pretty pointess to play wii games that are already on the gc

I know this was already answered but let's put it this way:

If the PS2 accepted PS1 controllers and plays PS1 games, does that mean that the PS1 can play PS2 games?
