Where to wire BIOS battery?

I'm not sure if I'm missing something from Ashens guide or not but where do I relocate the BIOS battery on a board with the test pads cut off? Also what is the crystal tube thing do exactly and does it have polarity?

Im almost positive the crystal has something to do with the time and/or date of the Gamecube. Now the Bios battery is wired to the chip that you relocate the crystal to, and I believe the positive of the Bios battery gets wired to the outer most pin, right next to where you have to relocate the crystal. I could be wrong so I would cheek Ashens rev c trimming guide, I think thats where I remember seeing something about the relocation of the Bios battery.
