Fun Facts!
- In total, I spent about 102 hours and 25 minutes building the Envision over 7 months
- I stayed up for 36 hours straight to finish up the Envision - I got a nasty cold from this
- I stayed up for 40 hours to finish editing the video by Christmas - My eyes were bloodshot afterwards
- I spent a month planning just the button layout to make sure everything felt comfortable and easy to play. Aside from the case mold, I did all casework myself :p
- I broke about 13 motherboards before getting this thing to work
- I've had the actual case shell since before the Ccube was even completed
- It is the second portable gamecube to feature a component cable inside, allowing for beautiful progressive scan mode (the first portable being Ashen's Revolution portable)
- I had the portable finished several weeks prior, but I opened it up to do a minor repair, eventually frying the motherboard
- I spent 6 months looking for the right song to use in the video
- The Envision was originally going to have a disc drive sticking out on the back
- In early 2012 the Envision was featured in the UK magazine "Ngamer" with a short article about da tchay

Special Thanks:
Sifuf - His Sixty Free Lite-R inspired me to think up the Envision back before the Ccube was even done. You'll notice that ALL of the above pictures follow Sifuf's pictures in his presentation thread. The Envision itself follows the look and feel of the Sixty Free. That portable remains, to this day, as one of my favorite N64 portables. Thanks Sifuf.
Ashen - For allowing all of us to use the Wiikey fusion and scrap our horrible disc drives. Ashen is BAMF. <3
Shockslayer - For an unprecedented amount of moral support, troubleshooting help, and manlove. Seriously, SS is a cool kat. I owe him some rum.
Cndowning - For making the awesome vacuum formed case mold and accommodating my crazy last minute changes
Palmertech - For founding MR and stuff

Dude, that thing is Dang beautiful. Superb job! I'm glad to finally see its sexyness closed up and complete. I'm going to commission you to do my presentations from now on. A++, *Can'tSayThisOnTV* yes!

Re: The Envision - Tchay's Second Portable Gamecube

I have no words to describe how awesome this is. That is some epic design and execution right there man. Kudos to you.

Re: The Envision - Tchay's Second Portable Gamecube

I wish someone would get off their ass and build a time machine so we can show projects like this to the past versions of ourselves. So awesome. :)

Looks awesome! Was really cool seeing this come together. :D

Re: The Envision - Tchay's Second Portable Gamecube

The portable is pretty great, but the video just puts it way over the top of great, and even past awesome. I mean, that's AT LEAST bordering on MR manlove.

Seriously, that video makes up for any and every flaw in the portable, including that I don't have it.

Re: The Envision - Tchay's Second Portable Gamecube

Probably my new favorite Portable gamecube out there I was always a fan of the retro-con PS2 joysticks myself

Re: The Envision - Tchay's Second Portable Gamecube

That video was pure sex. How long did it take to get all that footage?

Really super sexy portable. You did a great job of recreating the feel of sifuf's n64p.

thx man!

The footage was shot in the course of 3 or 4 days. I had about 3 or 4 hours of pure footage to sift through XD

Re: The Envision - Tchay's Second Portable Gamecube

I'm so going to do a presentation video like that. It was so amazing.

Re: The Envision - Tchay's Second Portable Gamecube

That was awesome! Love the portable! PSOne ya!

Re: The Envision - Tchay's Second Portable Gamecube

It's not a PSOne screen, I think it's a "Dalian Good Screen" or some flax; Tchay is using progressive scan.

Sometimes it reminds me of Xbox 360 quality.

It looks truly amazing on Twilight Princess. Especially swimming in water. :awesome:
