Some Gamecube questions.

Hi!

I just started to disassemble a gc controller to use as a "main board" in my portable, soldering pieces from another controller to it.
Unfortunatley it's a bit too big to fit in my case.
Can I cut

and reattach it with wires on the traces?

I don't see any other traces than to the d-pad, but it's best to be sure...

Also, does anyone know of a suitable place to get 12V on a rev c gc board?
I need it to supply power to my screen.

Thanks!

That should work if those are the only traces. Also what screen do you have, a lot of screens run on different voltages, you may just be reading the specs on the power supply.

It's a psone screen.
But I have an adjustable regulator for the screen, which output depends on the input.
So if I switch from the power supply to the 14.8V battery, the ouput will be different.
That's why I want the board to regulate the voltage so it always will be 12V.

Don't sap the power from somewhere on the gamecube, it's bad for the cube because it's at least a solid 500mA current, which will mess up the gamecube.
