Rev C sound fix?

Hey, I'm new to the modretro forums and I am working on a GcP. So the sound on my rev C board doesn't work anymore, all I get is static noise... The board is uncut but i have removed all ports except for the component and the controller board port. There seems to be no visible damage on the board. Have been looking around for solutions the past few days with no luck  . In theory, I just have to connect power directly to the sound amp is that correct?
Thank you

Well if you have not trimmed the board, the sound should work without any modification to the pre-amp. But the 12v trace for the pre-amp might be busted, in which case you do need to apply power directly. Is that what you're doing?

Not yet, I can't figure out where the preamp is on the board and I don't want to do anything stupid and destroy my cube... Any idea where the preamp is on a rev c?

I think I've figured out where i should connect the 12v line, will test it tomorrow and hopefully it'll work...
