The question I asked was: "Would this work as a rechargeable battery for a DMG:

I think you can run a DMG on this low of voltage but will it also run it with a back light in it?

Thanks,
zaxxon'd"

I'm not 100% sure about that running it but for 20 ish$ you could probably get a much higher capacity battery for it

I just measured the space I have to work with and either of those would work, but that's where the problem lies I'm not sure if it can work on that low of voltage with a backlight.

Why do you want rechargeable batteries in a DMG? The 4 AA's lasted quite awhile with my old one, does the backlight really suck up that much juice?

It's not that the backlight sucks up juice but rather that I just want to be able to recharge it instead of replacing the batteries.

I can kinda see where he is going with this. Spend 10$ on battery/pcb and then never have to buy pack of AA's (which are can be up to 5$).

BUMP!
