[QUESTION] soldering

Kind of a stupid question here but how do I solder? Like is there anything special i have to do and I was looking around the fourms and somone said not to solder accross the board IE: [Board] [wire bridging over] [Board]. Please mind my spelling and sorry i can't make a diagram I am at school.

There're plenty of tutorials on youtube on how to solder. I'm not sure what you're trying to say with the other part of the question, possibly when you have time explain it better or do a diagram.
