Question about battery voltage for 12V PSU

I've got a question about which voltage I should shoot for to power a 12V input/output PSU as can be found here:

Lets say I'm using the 'standard' 3.7V 5000mAh batteries, should I go for 11.1V with 3 in series, or 14.8V with 4 in series?

That one requires regulated 12V- I don't think it'll work. You should go with one of the other ones intended for cars or a wide-input board. You need one of the wide-input or automotive power supplies. Like one of these:

The first one can run off two or three cells if I was reading it correctly, the second one needs four cells.

Oh wow, I completely missed those. Yeah, that'll work perfectly, thanks. I'll probably be going with this one since the system I'm looking to build might be getting around 150W under load:

Now I just need to save up some money for my project... Not quite sure how long 4 of those batteries will be able to power a small touchscreen PC like I'm thinking about though.. might bump it up to either 6 or 8.
