ok so i have a gamecube controller and a ps1 controller with a joystick and was wondering, can you replace the first party joystick with a ps1 or gamecube joystick because i heard it only worked on 3rd party controllers...

If by 1st party joystick you mean 1st party controller, yes it is possible, but Im pretty sure you will need something called a translator board. I think someone makes them, Ive heard of a pinout somewhere. Someone else would know mare about it than I do.
