pN64 7 inch screen search.

I've been going crazy trying to find a 7 inch LCD screen for my N64 portable project, i bought one from eBay and turned out to be component and gave the scrolling screen issue. if anyone knows of a composite 7 inch screen for sale i can but that's not that expensive please let me know thanks.

How big is your portable gonna be? I couldnt find a 7- inch screen either but I settled for 5 inches and I still think it is too big. If your heart is set on a 7 inch screen, Adafruit.com is a store out of NYC and they ship FAST, i got my stuff in 3 days and I ordered a 7-inch screen from them for a different project and it worked flawlessly, the only problem is that their driver boards are HDMI so you would have to find a driver board for composite video that suited that screen (40 pin)

Actually, i got tired of the scrolling problem, the last one i used was took from a double dvd player kit for the car, like that:

You have a portable dvd player, and there's a second screen coming with it, the second one is just a screen with speakers that you connect to the dvd player with an a/v jack cable, so you can disassemble it and solder straight to the points, really easy to do, plus the board is small and the screen can run off 7.4v, tested! (And you have speakers with it, so no need of any amp)

I found mine in a pawn shop for 50$ brand new, and i still have an extra portable dvd player for my car :D

The screen power up automaticly when you input the power in, you have controls for volume directly on board with headphones jack, and another board with contrast control, which is great, you can put it somewhere else in your casing!

Here's a few pics i took while testing the concept:

thank you so much i appreciate it

i found a 7 inch screen that works for the N64 in order for the screen to work it obviously needs to be composite unless you mod it other wise. but the screen i bought was a "simulation of composite." which i bought not knowing if it will work and it does. and the screen was only $40 off eBay shipped. I'm extremely satisfied with it and it has speakers installed already.
