if thats a li-on or li-po battery it needs a protection circuit STAT!

But it is. 7.4V cells are Li-Po or Li-ion. Get a protection circuit on that, and get a smart charger for it!
Okay, you don't really need them, as long as you're okay with living on a pile of toxic ashes.

Yes, it is. Using a li-po cell without a protection circuit means your portable is a ticking firebomb.

well the battery is a McNair 4545120-2s
2500mAH 7.4v
so i dont know if i need one or not. if i do then what do you recommend thats cheap?

Hard to tell from a pic (especially from Mr. Blurrycam), but there may be a protection circuit on the side of the battery under the tape.

there isnt i just checked. this is the 7.4v protector im using.

pretty straight forward right? just wire - and + from the battery to the b- and b+ right? and the p- and p+ to the console and stuff?

correct me if im wrong.

but what do i do with the com part?
