I know certain models of the N64 can output RGB with the use of the mod from http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/ntsc-nintendo-64-rgb/, but I was wondering if you can use that mod in conjunction with JROK's RGB Component video Encoder (http://www.jrok.com/hardware/RGBv4/) and have the video signal running through component? Sorry if this is a noob question, but you never know unless you ask.

This should work fine, yeah. There wouldn't be any noticeable difference in quality between this and straight RGB, but if you don't have a VGA port on your TV than this would be a good alternative.

I have revision 05-1. I'm looking to get the best video possible out of it to TV. HDMI would be great but there's not a mod for that yet I think. I'd also like to trim the board, but I'm not sure if I can still do an output mod, if there is any. The in advance

That same mod has been promised for over a year. I hope that it means that it's coming soon and not that its doa.
I was wanting to trim the mobile down to as small as I could get it but I was wondering if that would affect my ability to mod its video output later.it doesn't seem like it would but I am unsure. Thanks in advance
