Honestly I think those seem like a major waste.
I know that a lot of gamers use a plain pair of Sennheiser HD555's and the Astro A30 mixamps, or at least that's what I've heard to be common at MLG events.
How would you even tell that it's 7.1 surroudn sound when the speakers are inches away from eachother?
