I don't know about ebay, but I got a few from 5 and below and the buttons are too hard for my taste. Feel more like tact switches than membranes (maybe they are?)

Their cheap as heck and work just fine and even have turbo and slow-mo buttons on the mobo, just not outside the case. But the A button is a little bit darker, the Z button is very clicky, the cable is shorter, they feel slightly cheap (hardly noticeable) and they use a glob-top chip instead of one like an offical controller.

not going to beat the official, but very much worth the price

is -$5 really that much of a risk Toast? just buy it.

Be warned, the cable is only 1/2-3/4 the length of the original. So buy an extender or two
