Now that all that is over with ....... I have one of these in hand. It's a pretty nice portable, not to heavy, not to light.

It's 8 3/4" x 4" x 1 3/4" overall dimensions. As a comparison the FC16Go is 7" x 4" x 1 3/4".

The screen is 3.5" and is just bright enough and looks very sharp. Much better than the Yobo FC16Go screen. It also runs off a standard 3.5v, so it can be used and replaced easily.

The sound is good but it doesn't get very loud, and there is a slight hum at louder volumes.

The buttons are nice and the d-pad is nice. But I have had problems with diagonals and left or right then immediately down. Like when trying to make Mario run and slide. With the Snes controller you can just push right/left then diagonal and Mario ducks and slides. With the built in d-pad you have to let go of the left/right and then push down. Much harder that way.

The game cartridge fits snug and can be locked in so it doesn't move. This is accomplished with a slide tab on the back that when slid left puts pressure on the cart making the cart stay much more steady.

Well here are the pics :

It's a little hard to tell from the images; is the LCD connection RGB, S-video, or compoflax?

Most people will probably stick to just making their own portables, rather than buying one. Though, people could still use the board from this.

Actually "most" people will buy a portable rather than build one.

Very few people actually make a portable let alone one that looks commercial or is strong enough to last as long as a commercial system.

Because it's basic, cheap, and 90% of people buying this dont know the difference between composite and other video... so why should they bother

Re: Hyperkin SupaBoy, Newest Commercial Snesp, Stripped & Na

Despite the obvious internal flaws, that case looks awesome.

Re: Hyperkin SupaBoy, Newest Commercial Snesp, Stripped & Na

I should mention that an acquaintance of mine has one, and after removing a cartridge around the 30th time, the cart slot came up with the cartridge.

just sayin'.

Looks like a Dang good case for a GCp if anything.

What's that number above the barcode on the back of the screen? Maybe we can track down more screens with that! A 3.5v screen sounds pretty awesome to me
