How to use your broken Wii U Gamepad as a controller

Hey guys,

Introducing the Nintendo Wii Umulator.

I've been working on this one 30 minutes a day for 2 weeks. And it's finally done.
I'm using a Wii U Gamepad, PS3 SIXAXIS controller and a Galaxy Note 3 for this project.
I'd have to say. It feels pretty comfortable for long periods of play.

This is a video, but I'll make a write up "How To" in the coming weeks. Enjoy.

Here's the Video:

If you guys need Wii U Gamepads for this project or any other projects.
I got mines from http://www.uscellshop.com. They go for $18 only. Pretty cheap compared to Ebay for $50 plus shipping. I'm not affiliated with them in any way. I just thought I'd let you guys in on a secret.

Personally I would go with a Logitech F310 and a USB OTG cable rather than bluetooth so the pad doesn't have to be charged. Both have pros and cons though.

The pad actually uses it's original charging dock also. It sit's in front of my TV as if I have a Wii U. :)

The Wii uses a pot for its analog sticks. The original SIXAXIS uses pots also. They are three pin.
While the dualshock uses HAL sensors. They have 4 pins.

It can be used, but you'll have to modify the original dualshock analogs to be able to be mounted in place of the Wii ones.

I found the motors to fit perfectly, but it's just that you have to modify the analogs to fit. Or you can use smaller motors also. I'm getting a PCB made for the dualshock 3, which will have all the solder points and two smaller PCB for the HAL sensor ones. This will make it easy for others to install.

with the OTG cable, you won't be able to fit the Note3 no more. The buttons are in the way. Unless you use smaller cell phones.
