Help with voltage, resistor or voltage regulator

So I'm making an 360 WVI, and sits its wireless (duh) I'll need batteries I'll power the cotroller with the normal double AA's. But, the wireless reciever and screen will need batteries, oviously I need to stepdown the voltage for now I'm unsure exactly what reviever and screen I need but whats that thing, called votlage regulator? or resistor sounds right?

You need to know what screen you are using, then find what voltage the screen uses, use those batteries for that voltage, you don't always need a voltage regulator.

But I have to split the battery since its powering the reciever and the screen

Not necessarily, the receiver and the screen may take the same voltage anyway.
