In short:
Noac: Better battery life, some have pretty good compatibility while others are terrible. They have much smaller motherboards, many are able to fit in a GBC without trimming. That may not matter much though, considering the size of an NES cart.
NES: Perfect compatibility (minus light gun games in a portable), still pretty good battery life. Huge motherboard, but there have been attempts to reduce it's size. The size of the original cartridges sort of compliments the size of the NES motherboard, though. Perfect for a ZN-40 portable.
If you are looking for a tiny, low powered powered then use a Noac. If you want perfect compatibility and don't mind the extra heft, use an NES.
