So yeah, there has been discussion on Capcom's strange approach to fans, no, not strange, bleed them dry with multiple versions of Street Fighter and then bundle a mini game/proof of concept at full price and disable saving.. ah yeah.
So first of all, Capcom decides that Megaman Legends 3 is cancelled because the 'fan input' was too low, I never heard of a developer asking the fans to make their games for them (Sega should do this for Sonic)

This 4chan (yeah, what a reliable source I know) explains how Capcom actually kicked people out of their booth and tried to get their badges removed for mentioning Megaman @ Comicon.

This post also shows that despite getting the top spot on a fan vote for Ultimate MvC3, Megaman X was left out of the game, although, surely they can do Super Ultimate MvC3 and include him then.

Also trying to 'protect' their IP they suddenly decided is so important that the fans should develop their own games for them all of a sudden, by issuing a cease-and-desist to some guys.

Which fits nicely with all of this

It's your choice really, but if you seriously wanna put up with the repeated bullflax that's came from these guys since Hyper Fighting, it's your call. EA & Activision bleed you dry with yearly updates but they don't lie to you, Capcom clearly stated before that Megaman Legends 3 would get a 'paid demo' (lol) and was in active development, that soon changed to we didn't even green light the product in the first place and expected our fans to actually help us develop a game.
